Here are very simple instructions on how to make a soft cover mini album.
I have previously made a basic mini album tutorial here, so I will show you an alternate
way to make a soft cover, round spine mini instead of the hard chipboard cover.
First we will follow all the page construction (pages measure 7 1/2" x 6 1/4") and hinge instruction from the basic
tutorial, and this is how we modified it...
1. Once the pages are ready, we will add them to the hinge system. At this point we have no front or bag covers.
Hinge: Cut a piece of 65 lb cardstock at 6" x 11". Score at 1" and then at every 3/4" until 10 3/4" (You can see the process on the video tutorial)
2. Front Cover:
Using the same heavy weight cardstock as the pages (110 lb), cut a piece of 7 1/2" x 6 1/4" (same as the page size)
3. Back Cover:
Cut a the cardstock at 7 1/2" x 11"
Score along the long side at 6" and at every 1/4" until 8 1/2". Fold along the scored lines all in one direction to create the circular shape.
4. Add the front and back covers to the hinge.
Add a closure and decorate...
Thanks for visiting! Happy crafting!
I don't have 110 lb. cardstock can I use 65 lb
